Indianola Selected as a Main Street Community

Dear Chamber Members,
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all. We recently participated in a process to help Indianola earn a prestigious Main Street designation. Thanks to the collective efforts of the City of Indianola, the Indianola Downtown Merchants, the Indianola Chamber and the business community, we are excited to announce that we have been successful!
The Main Street program is a nationally recognized initiative focused on revitalizing historic downtowns and commercial districts. It provides a comprehensive framework for community-driven economic development, emphasizing preservation, quality design, and the promotion of local businesses. By becoming a Main Street community, Indianola will gain access to valuable resources, technical assistance, and funding opportunities that will help us enhance our downtown area.
This designation will bring numerous benefits to our community. It will help attract new businesses and investments, increase tourism, and create a more vibrant and appealing downtown environment. The program also fosters a strong sense of community pride and involvement, encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy and support our local shops, restaurants, and cultural events.
We couldn't have accomplished this without the hard work and dedication of several of our members and community partners. Their contributions and enthusiasm have been instrumental in this success. We look forward to the positive changes and developments this designation will bring to our amazing town.
For those of you that committed to investing in Main Street, that your continued support and participation in making Indianola a wonderful place to live, work, and visit. For those who have not had a chance to get engaged yet, it is not too late. Please contact us and we will get you connected!
