Peoples Bank Music in the Park - Ballyhoo Foxtrot Orchestra

This vintage ensemble is dedicated to recreating the jazz and popular music of the 1910s and 1920s. The group performs a wide variety of musical genres from the period, including foxtrots, Dixieland jazz, blues, novelty songs, waltzes, tangos, cabaret, patriotic songs and light classical music.
Free event at Buxton Park. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. Presented by Overton Funeral Home.

Christian Opportunity Center Run, Walk & Roll Event

2nd Annual Run, Walk, & Roll event supporting people with disabilites will take place on Saturday, September 25th, 2010. Registration and check in will be at the Indianola Church of Christ between 7:15-7:45am. The 5k will begin at 8:00am with awards at 9:00am. There is also a 1 mile event available.
Registration is $20 for earlybirds and $25 after Sept 11. Each participant receives a t-shirt and is eligible to win door prizes.

Get ready for dazzling ball-handling tricks, high-flying slam dunks and hilarious family comedy. Join the Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show on Sunday, September 26th at 4:00 p.m. at Indianola High School Gym, as they take on the Indianola Dream Team. The Indianola Dream Team consists of 20 local community members, business people, coaches, teachers, government officials, etc.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
